1) Acute ankle injury, chronic hip & back pain: (2 treatment sessions)
"Everything that's been done so far gives immediate results, and I'm amazed at how long the overall healing has gone without further treatment in the past 2 weeks. I'd recommend it to anyone whose afraid of needles."

2) Bladder pain (Interstitial Cystitis)
Just felt the need to post this about my experience and results with FSM treatment along with the incorporation of acupuncture for pain. It has helped me in so many ways, I (almost) cannot believe it myself. FYI, I’m an older, mature woman, and I’ve had my share of aches and pains thru the years, but the worse possible ongoing pain (close to nineteen years) I’ve experienced has been from recurring UTI infections as well as IC, Interstitial Cystitus. It’s been hell! Finally I heard about Judy Spagnola who is both an expert Neurophysiologist and Acupuncturist. In addition she uses FSM, Frequency Specific Microcurrent along with acupuncture treatment when needed. Believe me, I needed it all!
Western (traditional) medicine was prescribing various antibiotics, one after the other after the other, as well as pain medicines. Some of the pain meds were prescription and others tried were over the counter. As I previously sated, this has been ongoing for almost nineteen (19) years. I was beyond frustrated in addition to feeling hopeless and helpless. I also hated what must be going on internally to my body from all these meds. I admit I was a bit skeptic at first when I first started with Judy; and relief didn’t happen right away, but then it all seemed to click. I’ll never forget driving to work one morning and I felt positively ecstatic. To be free of pain and not having to do it with medicine. You cannot possibly imagine my excitement for lack of a better word. Found myself actually having to calm myself down a bit before walking in the door at work.
Now I am also a cardiac patient due to second hand smoke, so I have to be extra careful with my blood pressure as well as total cholesterol. Judy is working on this with me as well. She is in touch with my cardiologist, and the three of us collectively are working on a plan. Eastern and Western medicines need to get their heads together and work as a team. Just so happens I have been blessed to find three professionals (my primary care physician, my cardiologist as well as my acupuncturist), and I couldn’t be happier!!!!
I hope this will help and encourage others out there to seek help if you are in pain! Opioids are NOT the answer! You have options; trust me I have learned firsthand. And I learned thru Judy Spagnola. Reach out to her, calling or emailing is fine. She’ll be there for you as she is for me. And she’ll be HONEST if she can help you or not. Judy will tell you upfront if you need to seek some other form of treatment.
I hope this helps many, but even if only one person, then that’s a good thing.
Wishing you a healthy and as much as possible, a pain free long life!

Acupuncture Testimonials:
1) Headache:
I don’t usually post these kinds of things...... but I am so relieved to be FREE OF PAIN... I HAVE TO SHARE! Since October, I have been experiencing a horrible painful headache in the back left side of my head! I have been popping pills 💊 like candy, to the point of having an upset stomach!! It took everything in me to function on a daily basis and not let the pain control me and my life! Something I had to let go of, I stopped running, walking, and working out... My weigh...t loss journey had to be put on hold. This upset and depressed me to no end. Not only was the pain keeping me from doing so many things, but it was a struggle to function normal on a daily basis!!!! I had tried the VA... we know how that goes, months of no call backs... finally get and appointment but it’s not until May... mind you I have been trying to see someone at the VA since November! Then I started seeing a chiropractor... that made my back feel better, but that was it! I decided it was time to try something a little different! Acupuncture... Judy first saw me on March 30th.... tried a few things, and actually felt much better when leaving her house, than I had when I arrived! BUT..... Then, TONIGHT........ like a miracle....she tried something a little different.... and it was amazing, odd, and awesome all at the same time! My pain/headache that I have been struggling with since October was gone.... completely gone! It was the best thing ever.... I cried, cried happy tears. Tonight is the BEST I have felt in MONTHS.... MONTHS!!! And I owe it all to Judy! She is wonderful! So if you are struggling with anything pain, anxiety, depression, anything.... she has a way to help you! If it didn’t work I obvious wouldn’t be sharing....when I tell you I was ready to go for a run when I left her house, thats how good I felt!!! Give Judy a call.... really! It works! BEST I HAVE FELT IN A LONG TIME! I’m ready to hit the pavement ðŸƒðŸ»â™€ï¸ 💨

2) Elbow pain:
W😮W!!!
Acupuncture for this tendinitis in my elbow was amazing!! I was a skeptic (I am not anymore!!). Thank you Judy Giovinazzo Spagnola!!! She is fantastic. â¤ï¸
So far I am more than impressed! On my way home I actually washed my car in a self car wash and that would have normally really hurt my elbow to hold the car wash guns… And it did not hurt. I was shocked. She also ordered some products to use at home that seem amazing (from Advanced Tachyon Technologies....google those products!)
**Added bonus = Accupuncture is approved for FSA (Flexible Spending Account). 👊ðŸ»

3) Toe pain from a patient I was treating at the Won Institute:
Having been in the United States Marine Corp for four years has enabled me to take advantage of this great opportunity that Won Institute has been able to give to military veterans. For the past four years I have been having an incredible pain in my right big toe. I have had an operation by a podiatrist to possibly fix the problem, it didn't work. I've had shots to alleviate the pain, it also didn't work. I've gone to a neurologist, rheumatologist, a neurosurgeon, a MD, pain management and, physical therapy for three time a week for a year, all with the same result. Very minor relief. None gave me a definitive diagnosis of what was causing the pain. Some said it was caused by gout, some said it was caused by neuropathy and just wanted to give me medication. ( First gabapentin, and then Lyrica.). And then when those didn't work they just wanted to up the milligrams I was taking. The only relief I have had is having acupuncture done. Prior to starting I would have incredible pain at least every other day, that would wake me up in middle of night, so bad that I would not be able to go back to sleep. I have gone to acupuncture 10 weeks with amazing results. I still have the pain but only once a week, and it has downgraded from 9-10 level, to a 4-5 lvl, making it very manageable. If this can be opened up to other veterans that may have disabling conditions I think that this would be a great benefit. Please do what ever is necessary to continue, or increase this practice.

4) Stress, anxiety, back, wrist, Achilles tendon & stomach pain from another patient of mine at the Won Institute:
I began receiving acupuncture in August of 2016. I was very skeptical about acupuncture and was hesitant to go to my first appointment at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. I arrived and met Judy Spagnola, my acupuncturist. She greeted me with a big smile which made me feel at ease. I am very much afraid of needles and my nerves were running very high. We sat down and went through a series of questions, pulse taking and tongue examination. The first treatment was for my back and Judy was great in regards to easing my anxiety with the needles. For a few days my back seemed to feel better. I made a decision to continue treatment. I wanted to only have Judy treat me because she was so calming and very helpful with easing my anxiety about the treatments.
There have been so many things that Judy has helped me with. My back, my Achilles tendon, my wrist, stomach pain as well as anxiety and stress are just some of the ailment she was able to help me with.
I began to develop a desire to gain as much knowledge that I could about acupuncture. I was constantly asking Judy questions. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions in great detail. I was so impressed as to her ability to explain the information so that I could understand it. On several occasions, Judy had given me papers to read as well as books for me to read to help me understand the history of acupuncture which fascinated me.
Judy is an amazing person and acupuncturist. Her ability to connect with people and make them feel comfortable is second to none. Her knowledge and thirst for more knowledge is a tribute to her passion for acupuncture as well as to helping people. She has said to me on several occasions that she enjoys nothing more than helping people feel better.
I have recommended and will continue to recommend Judy to anybody who is considering acupuncture. I know that Judy will truly be an asset to the acupuncture community. I am truly lucky to have met and have been treated by an amazing person and acupuncturist.
